How to place a phone order

Have high social anxiety, or do phone calls just make you nervous? Here's the order of operations to place a phone call at Pizza Shuttle so you know what to expect!

1) We need to know if it's for pick up or delivery. You can say, "I'd like to place an order for delivery" or "I'd like to place a pick up order".

2) Next, we'll ask you for your phone number.

3) If you said pick up, we'll probably verify you want to pick it up from the Lindsey Store. If it's delivery, we'll ask you for the address now. We only need the number and street name. Example: 1202 Brooks St. You don't need to spell the street name. Please give any special instructions at this step. Example: "You need a code to get into the building. The code is: 12345".

4) Now you'll place the order. If you're ordering pizza, we have to click large or small before we can enter the toppings, so tell us the size first. We're pretty fast at taking orders, so you just need to talk at a moderate, steady pace. We'll let you know if you're ordering too fast.

5) Once you're done ordering, if it's pick-up we'll tell you the price and how long it will be (you pay in-store). If you're ordering delivery, we'll ask if you want to pay cash or card.

6) If you choose cash, we'll tell you the price and how long the delivery will be. If you choose card, we go ahead and run the card over the phone. With a credit card, we'll ask for: the credit card #, the expiration date, the security code on the back (the 3-digit number), and the zip code on your billing address (used for verification).

7) After the card is run, we'll tell you how long the delivery will take.

Bonus tip: You don't have to interact with the pizza delivery driver if you don't want to. You can ask for the driver to drop off the food. You'll have to pay with a credit card, and if you'd like to tip, you'll need to say how much over the phone. The driver will set the food at your door, knock, and go back to the car. Please be advised that the driver is required to make sure you take the food before they can go, so they'll wait outside and will leave once you get the food and go inside.
